Breakfast Protein Smoothies are HANDS-DOWN my quickest, easiest and favorite breakfast. They are a perfect treat to refuel after a morning workout, and these smoothies will keep me full all the way to lunch. Here is a recipe for one of my favorite versions... Vanilla PB Banana Smoothie. ❤️
1 scoop Vanilla Shakeology (or your preferred protein powder) 1 cup unsweetened almond milk 1/2 frozen banana
1 tsp almond butter or peanut butter 1 tsp cinnamon Ice (I use about 1 cup, but adjust to your preferred thickness. More ice = thicker smoothies)
Use a blender to mix until all ingredients are blended smooth,. In less than 2 minutes flat, you've made a healthy, filling breakfast and can be out the door!
One final CAUTION... I feel like I need to address this issue because many people are not aware of the differences in products or brands, and most do not do thorough research themselves. Be picky about the supplements you use. In most cases, you are going to get exactly what you pay for. Not all are created equal, so please read your labels and do your research. Avoid extra sugar or fillers, and do background research on the brand or company you are considering. Make sure THEY know where the ingredients come from. Did they create their own supply chain, or do they broker ingredients from suppliers? Do the suppliers follow clean and sustainable practices? Does the company conduct their own quality checks and test ingredients themselves, and do they choose to follow FDA standards? Is that palm oil ingredient sustainable, or is it stripping habitat from orangutans?
We can make better choices for ourselves and for the world, but we need to be diligent in the products and companies that we choose to use. EVERYTHING we put in our bodies matters. It's either helping us, or hurting us, so it's important to be mindful about where ingredients come from.
