About Me

Hi, my name is Maranda! Thank you for checking out my site.

I am a health and fitness coach in Austin, TX, and love all things travel, food and clean living. I am a wife, toddler mom, dancer, group exercise instructor, personal trainer, photographer, writer, blogger, cook, runner, cyclist, and avid researcher.

I created this space so I could bring my passions together and share my best tips, travel itineraries, recipes, workouts and experiences with you.


Though I haven't been everywhere, it's on my list!

I make it my mission to travel as much as possible. Before I go anywhere, I spend countless hours researching everything from the best tours and sites, to local eats and jaunts.  I realized I had all of this useful information that could easily be shared with others to make their future trips fun and easier to plan. That was a HUGE inspiration for starting this blog.


I LOVE FOOD! I am a foodie at heart and when I travel, finding amazing meals that are (mostly) healthy and delicious are high on my list. Don't get me wrong, I do like to splurge a little when I'm on vacay! I seek out anything farm to table, food truck, or local cuisine and restaurants. I have little desire to be immersed in another region or culture and end up eating the same chain food I can get anywhere else. 

I also am huge on food photography. I try to document through pictures all the amazing food I experience while I'm on a trip. I have no idea when or where this habit developed, but now it's definitely a part of my travel rituals. 


Before becoming a health and fitness coach, I've been teaching cardio dance and group exercises classes in Austin, TX for years. In 2012, I completed certification for AFAA Group Exercise as well as CPR/AED and First Aid. Since then I've been licensed and taught Zumba and Zumba Toning, X-Pert X-Pole aerial pole fitness, PiYo (pilates/yoga), as well as lead other dance and fitness formats including rebounding/trampoline, tumbling, body band boot camp, and burlesque. I have also completed training in Perinatal Fitness.

In 2015, I created my own dance and fitness format called HipPop Cardio Dance. This class is my current favorite and blends fun, high-energy cardio dance moves to blast calories and incinerate fat while jamming to awesome Hip-Hop and Pop music. This class combines easy to follow dance moves with strength-training exercises to build endurance, burn fat, and tone the entire body. So basically, I created the cardio dance class that I wanted to take, but couldn't find. ;) 

In 2018 I completed a long term goal of earning my Personal Trainer certification.
